Leading up to Dania and Mike’s wedding, the forecast was looking pretty grim with a 90% chance of rain all day long. But thanks to a little miracle—and maybe an Etsy witch and a few superstitious rituals—the rain held off right when it mattered most.
The entire day was packed with unforgettable moments, starting with an emotional first look where Mike was completely overcome with tears, which naturally had me crying too. Before the ceremony, Dania and her bridesmaids kicked back on the couch with a pre-wedding drink, belting out their favorite songs so loud I’m pretty sure all of Cobalt could hear them. The day was rich with deep family history, including Mike wearing a 150-year-old heirloom ring passed down to the eldest Marinigh groom for generations. To top off the ceremony, a beam of sunshine broke through the clouds and lit up the altar briefly before they shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
The celebrations only picked up from there, moving into a never-ending family portrait session to fit in their massive list of loved ones (sorry, Mike!) before heading into an incredible reception. Between the best Maid of Honor speech I’ve heard in a long time and a surprise, fully costumed ABBA performance by Dania’s family, the energy in the room was electric. Second Company jammed out all night, keeping the dance floor completely packed until the very end.
This day will stick with me for so many reasons, but above all, it was simply a joy to witness the deep love Dania and Mike share. I am so honored to have been there to capture these moments for you both—wishing you a lifetime of happiness, love, and adventure together!
